Creative Peop!e partnership.Arts Council England.

CreativePeople is a national network dedicated to providing advice and guidance to support the professional development of people working in arts and craft industries.

The aim is to help those working in the arts and craft industries take a more planned approach to their own professional development, helping them to identify the most useful professional development activities, to prioritise and implement them.

This means that when you approach writernet for information, advice and guidance, we are able to deliver a higher quality service, having access to a range of sources of best practice. We are able to lobby for more resources for many aspects of professional development, including courses, mentoring, and workshops. We are able to plug into national initiatives, such as Decibel and the work coming out of the Eclipse Report which is increasing opportunities for diversity. We are able to ensure that playwrights professional development needs can be articulated and have a better chance of being well met.

Jonathan Meth was seconded as Chair between 2006-2007
